Why Pakistanis should distance themselves from Indian pseuodo-"peacemakers"

While peace with all of our neighboring countries is an important goal for us Pakistanis both for economic & political stability; we must not allow the influence of foreign countries to control our future, destiny and most importantly our sovereignty.

In this case we face Indian "peacemakers" who post articles in papers and the Internet and come to Pakistan and launch campaigns in the name of peace. Their goals are to fool Pakistanis into believing that we are "the same people" and that we should "re-unite" and that being defensive of Pakistani sovereignty is linked to Islamist extremism. Pakistanis who are naive are fooled by the warm tone of these "peacemakers," easily buy into this propaganda and are easily tricked into believing that Pakistan and it's people 'belong' to India.

As an example I once viewed a clip shown by Indian campaigners in at the Marriott hotel in Karachi where they show an Indian fisherman complaining about being denied fishing rights in Pakistani waters, a big target for Indian fisherman due to it's larger quantity and superior quality of fish.

The fisherman spoke "these 'artificial' borders make our life so difficult." I thought to myself, Canadian fishermen scream of off-shore fishing by American fishers in their waters and no one dares to call the border between Canada & America "artificial" yet these Indian "peacemakers" make it look like there's something wrong with Pakistan protecting it's precious fishing resources from outsiders coming in and just netting our fish as if it's for free give away.

The ultimate goal of these so-called "peacemakers" is to erase Pakistan off the map and make it a part of India. Pakistan, a society that has thrived from the days of the Indus Civilization till today is now a target for Indian attempts to be erased off the world map either by being bombed by a hostile nation or by being annexed into "greater India" in the name of "peace" and so-called "South Asian unity."

Once again as I wrote, peace with our neighbors is very important, but should it be at the cost of our resources and sovereignty? Of course not. Which country would exploit it's resources & sovereignty in the name of peace? No modern day country that I know of, which is why I call on all Pakistanis who care about our countries right to exist as an independent and a sovereign nation to reject the propaganda of these so-called Indian "peacemakers."

Of course it does not mean I reject the reality that there are those from India who wish for peace and recognize Pakistan's independence and are not subject to false propaganda that the region ever consisted a fictitious country called "greater India." There are those who actually accept reality and wish for peace in a true and just way.
